Sonalake shortlisted for INCA Award 2024

We have been shortlisted as finalists in the "Technical Innovation" category by the INCA Award 2024. We are happy to say that our work on SwitchedOn Fibre™, a modular suite of BSS software, was nominated.

So what is SwitchedOn Fibre™ and why is it different?

Having helped fibre operators to build custom BSS/OSS solutions since 2015 as the FTTx industry developed, Sonalake identified an emerging market need to design a new generation BSS solution.

We forecast that fibre networks would ultimately need a productised and FTTx-optimised BSS, as they emerge from start-up build phase to scale or consolidation, with a focus on innovating around customer acquisition, customer experience and operational efficiency (OPEX). 

We thus committed to a major R&D investment over the last 4 years to meet this opportunity, resulting in the launch of our SwitchedOn Fibre™ BSS. 

We employed the best of modern cloud-first software technologies and international standards to deliver an extensive breadth of functionality across the FTTx customer journey - from customer address lookup and qualification, through order management, provisioning, billing, ticketing and in-life service management, all managed within a single platform for operational efficiency.

What does SwitchedOn Fibre™ give the fibre operator over traditional BSS solutions?

Most critically, our product delivers upon the configurability, extensibility and scalability that is essential for a fibre network to prosper in a competitive market.

There are many technical and functional innovations within the product, including data-science and AI enabled capabilities. A particularly strong USP is the low-code/no-code feature to enable operator staff to configure business rules and workflows without the support of software engineers, providing the business agility to innovate rapidly with new market offerings.
