Sonalake was delighted to sponsor this 3-Saturday global and virtual STEAM festival. Girls Code Fest teaches girls and young womxn to code, connecting them with female leaders within the coding-related industries and intends to help them to kickstart their professional interests and aspirations!
The three Saturdays consisted of educational panels and workshops around Software Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning and UI/UX & VR Product Design. It featured more than 20 female speakers and artists from countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Europe (Sweden, Switzerland, Croatia), India, Pakistan, and more.
This year the festival saw an impressive 500 registrations from girls and young women from around the world. Although the coding experience among the group of attendees varied, the feedback from nearly everyone indicated that the event was inspiring and in some cases, it motivated them to learn about the application of coding in other fields that weren’t previously considered!
Between the fantastic organisers, speakers and wide range of engaging workshops, it was really a successful event.
