We’re excited to announce our new membership of the prestigious FTTH Council Europe, which is on a mission to deliver full fibre-based connectivity to the whole of Europe. Its 150-plus members include organisations that are involved in the development, production, deployment, maintenance or analysis of FTTH networks or FTTH network components.
The FTTH Council Europe’s vision is to create a digital, sustainable Europe in which fibre connectivity can transform and enhance the way that we live, interact and do business. It has a significant influence on fibre roll-out and uptake across the continent and beyond, according to Niall Halpenny, International Business Development Director at Sonalake.
“The FTTH Council Europe has demonstrated extensive thought leadership in this field and we’re looking forward to taking an active role in its working groups, as we have with the UK’s Independent Networks Cooperative Association (INCA),” says Niall.
“As a member of the FTTH Council Europe, we can play a role in shaping its policy and regulation by participating in council committees and contributing to council reports and studies. It’s an opportunity to network with senior European policymakers, access the council’s extensive resources, and share our expertise in deploying large-scale telecom BSS/OSS systems.”
We will also exhibit at the FTTH Conference 2023 in Madrid from April 18 to 20. This major industry event attracts more than 3,300 people and includes a series of workshops, conference panel sessions and keynote speeches from leading policymakers, business leaders, technology experts and investors.
